Half Day Monkey Mountain Da Nang Wildlife Tour

Monkey Mountain Da Nang is famous for stunning seaside mountains with high biodiversity and is vital to the Red-shanked Douc Langur (Pygathrix nemaeus) population in Vietnam, 37 km (22 miles) up the coast line from Hoi An. Son Tra Nature Reserve  is also hosts a former US military base from the American/Vietnam war.

Observing the Red-shanked Douc Langur in their natural habitat is the highlight of the eco-wildlife tour but is also a destination for bird watchers.  Additionally, you will see many species of reptiles, insects and and local wildlife.

Bird Watcher’s Paradise:  Monkey Mountain Da Nang hosts over 118 birds species including the Blue Rock Thrush, Green-eared Barbet, Racket-tailed Treepie, Greater Racket-tailed Drongo, Crimson Sunbird, Olive Back Sunbird, Black-throated Laughingthrush, White-crested Laughingthrush, Laced Woodpecker, Black Eagle, Crested Serpent Eagle, Shrika, White bellied Eagle, Lesser Fish to name a few.

Plant species include: Moraceae, Dipterocarpaceae, Myrtaceae, Fagaceae. The most important endangered species population of Parashorea stellata is still protect in the reserve and it is primary for Red-shanked Douc Langurs diet.
